About Us

Playgroup NSW Inc. is a community based not-for-profit organisation. We promote our programs and services to support playgroups across NSW, increase participation from families in community and specialised playgroups, and raise the overall profile of playgroups.

Achieving these outcomes involves creating and sharing promotional materials through media, including:

Print Materials (newsletters, magazines, posters, brochures, booklets, displays)
Digital Media (websites, social media, email communications, online advertising)
Media Publications (newspaper articles and advertising)

High Quality photographs and videos depicting children, parents and carers attending Playgroup are integral to ensuring these promotional materials have the greatest impact.

Playgroup NSW may photograph, film, or record participants during playgroup activities. This may also include:

Use by Playgroup NSW for promotional and communication purposes.
Use by the aged care facility hosting an intergenerational playgroup (if applicable)
Use by individual Playgroup Committee members for playgroup-related purposes
Recording of digital/online sessions (e.g. virtual playgroups) for staff & volunteer training, and sharing within our private social media groups.

Participation is completely voluntary, and you are not obligated to have your or your child’s image recorded.

Privacy & Data Protection:

Playgroup NSW handles all images, videos, and recordings in accordance with its privacy obligations under the Privacy Act 1988.

Media captured may be used in publications that are considered “generally available”
Personal identifying information (such as full names) will not be disclosed without additional consent
All media will be stored securely and used only for the purposes outlined above

Playgroup NSW retains copyright of all images and recordings collected.

Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Playgroup NSW via phone or email (see contact details below).Upon withdrawal:

No new images or recordings will be taken
Reasonable steps will be taken to remove existing images from future use, including from websites, advertising, and other materials where practicable
